Hello, I’m Becca, an MSW grad student at University of Calgary and a practicum student at Unscripted Co. ​After working frontline in social care work for just shy of a decade, I I burnt out big time. Working in these systems wore me down. I felt disconnected from and disillusioned by the work and no longer recognized myself.

During my practicum with Unscripted Co., supervised by Tia, I had the opportunity to create this comic to process my own experience of burning out and to share my story and information with others who might be going through something similar. Burn out is all too common in this field, and we need to take care of ourselves and each other!
